WordPress 2.9.2 Released: Minor Security Fix

Users of the WordPress blogging and content management platform can now update their installations to version 2.9.2, released Monday. This version fixes one small bug, which would allow logged in users to view other users posts that have been put into the “Trash”. It is not an essential fix, though updating is recommended.

iThemes Releases WordPress Plugin To Simplify Upgrading Themes

Ever since version 2.7, upgrading WordPress plugins and even the core of WordPress itself has been extremely simple. Users on most server configurations can simply click a few buttons and watch the magic happen. However, the same can’t be said for themes. Premium theme retailer iThemes decided that this process needed to be simpler, so they released their Easy Theme Upgrades WordPress plugin, which allows you to upgrade a theme simply by uploading the new zip file.
