What is interesting is the fact that his blog, ThemeShaper, is also joining the company, as a front-end to what he calls a “theme team” being formed there.

An unexpected change with one of WordPress.com’s data centers ended up crashing the service for nearly two hours this afternoon. Over 10 million blogs were effected, including prominent “VIP” sites, and approximately 5.5 million pageviews were reportedly lost.

WordPress 2.9.2 Released: Minor Security Fix

Users of the WordPress blogging and content management platform can now update their installations to version 2.9.2, released Monday. This version fixes one small bug, which would allow logged in users to view other users posts that have been put into the “Trash”. It is not an essential fix, though updating is recommended.
